So no real updates for a long time...
Livio, Lena and Lucius from Beatas' May litter went on to new homes. Also Iacopo from Allies' litter went to his new home with Martin, who was so good to Walter.
Duna and Beata are both spayed and looking for new "retirement" homes.
I am planning a litter or two for 2010. As soon as I decide upon the combinations, I will post them to the planned litter page.
Also Pippa dell'Ovo came to me from Marco Belfiore and Laura Majorana of "Dell'Ovo" Cirnechi in Sicily.

Dino left today for his new home in Jackson, Tennessee.

Sadly Sambuca Fulvia "Lyyti" has passed away in Finland at just over a year old. I am so sorry little one :( She was KILLED by her owner who I trusted with my little girl :(

A few updates to mention. There are a few litters planned at Sambuca this year.

So it has been a really long time since I have been able to work on the site. Things are going well here in Tennessee, despite being in the middle of the worst drought in history.
We have added a new yard for the dogs, and they are really enjoying it.
Allie's puppies are getting big, now about 10 weeks old. The male, Doriano, will stay here at Samabuca. I hope he will be my next show project. His brother, Dino, will go to live with Jill at Anharn in the UK. The other 2 kids will be placed soon in loving pet homes. It is always so hard to let them go!
After a tragic french bulldog litter recently, I have decided to wean myself out of the breed. I do have a few litters planned, and will continue to co-own a few nice dogs, but everyone else will be placed. I have had fun with the breed, but my heart is still with the sighthounds and pariah breeds.
Chili, the Ibizan will be heading out to a few shows in the next few months. I hope to go to Lexington, KY, Chatanooga, TN, and also Atlanta. She just needs 1 major, and a few singles to finish.
We also have a new Cirneco on the way from Italy. He should arrive at the end of August, and more will be posted soon!

Allie is getting ready to have her puppies. Her temperature has dropped, so they should be born soon.
Chantal is also getting close. She has such a big belly, that it drags on the ground!

Cirneco puppies are due soon! Allie is slowing down, and wanting to spend more time alone. We hope that a nice healthy litter will arrive soon. With any luck, there will be a few puppies available to show or pet homes, and we welcome export inquiries! |

Cirneco puppies due May 16th! Our homebred girl, Allie (Sambuca Alessandra), has been bred to Vespinja's Belpasso. 2-4 puppies are to be expected, confirmed by ultrasound. |

Today Emma's brindle male puppy leaves for his new home in New Hampshire. Good luck to Ruth Brenna and family! Brindle littermate "Sambuca's Brindle Bombshell" will stay here at Sambuca, and will start her show career this summer. |

Right now we have 2 male 11 week old Cirneco puppies for sale. Both are beautiful, and I hope to get some nice stacked shots of them on the table. Both are available to lure coursing, or pet homes.
Emma's puppies are doing great! eyes are starting to open. Everyone also has their tentative registered names, although that may change with time.

Emma has had her puppies! 4 puppies were born Friday afternoon, December 29th. The puppies are Brindle (1+1) and Cream (1+1).
Also one of the cirneco puppies left for his new home in the UP of Michigan. The second will leave next week to Conneticut to live with her half brother, Reko.

Lela gave birth to 4 beautiful puppies October 21st. One male puppy is available to the right home. Watch the puppy page, as I hope to add new photos soon. |

Lela is now in her fifth week of pregnancy. She is just starting to show, and becoming very greedy when it comes to food! Ultrasound shows we will have at least 4 puppies, we will go back for an x-ray in 3 weeks to get a better head count. |

Plans have been made to attend the CdECA Specialty in Texas in October. Not sure which dogs will be going at the moment, but I will update this page with more information soon. |

Lela will be bred in the next month or so to my Finnish import, Walterri. More information will be posted as soon as the breeding takes place.
Sadly Emma is not pregnant. I plan to breed her to a different stud her next heat. More information can be found on the puppies page.

Emma has been bred twice, one by AI, and once by surgical insemination. Puppies are hopefully due June 18th. I will update the web site as soon as I confirm pregnancy. |
